In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.

The questline centers on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
