The United Kingdom is set to progress with utilizing the entire amount of seized Russia's holdings to aid Ukraine's war effort, PM Sir Keir Starmer has stated.
In a collective announcement, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that this joint measure would escalate tension on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to engage in negotiations.
They clarified that the initiative would be carried out in tight collaboration with the America.
UK penalties have frozen in excess of £25bn of Russia's resources since the Russian government initiated its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, previously, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russia's funds had solely been drawn from profits and interest earned on them.
